When Eric first began collecting videotapes of films, he preferred to record at Extended Play (slowest speed) because it was more economical and because it permitted the slight art of grouping two or three titles on the same tape, in the manner of a double/triple feature at a reperatory theatre. Most of the following titles were recorded from what are now called premium cable channels (eg, Showtime), but a few were dubbed from rented VHS tapes produced before video distributors figured out how to monkey with the recording speed so as to prohibit such dubbing. Eric has since become dissatisfied with the VHS format, and is now seeking to replace most of the Ericus Rex collection with DVDs.
