Eric's original vision of the Archives precluded any central registry for all updates. It pleased him to imagine visitors sifting through the forest of pages, looking for new items and re-discovering old ones. A recent groundswell of demand for more efficient procrastination, however, prompted the realization that such an update page would also permit Eric to advertise those portions of the Archives that he felt warranted renewed attention. So here it is. This update page will by no means be exhaustive; near-routine additions to pages such as Queue, Library, and Hie thee to the cinema! have never been cause for resetting the "Last Updated" date on the main page, and so will not be listed here. Entirely new pages will definitely be listed here, as well as any petty witticisms Eric is particularly proud of. Eric also reserves the right to falsely list an item as updated; successful challenges to such false listings will be rewarded by Eric buying breakfast one Saturday.
- The American electorate stopped hitting itself in the head with a hammer.
- Entire site migrated from speakeasy.org to tfik.org. Oscar Philippe Scharf’s Home Page and other personal pages moved to Members area.
- Eric is looking for a new job, and accordingly he has updated his résumé.
- George W. Bush legitimately* elected 43rd President of the United States. All it took was an ambiguous war with ill-defined victory conditions against interchangeable enemies (a national propensity for narcissistic cowardice didn’t hurt).
* So far as we know, which is the most we can say for the majority of elected officials.

- Assured that Netscape 6.0 will parse the {background-color} tag just fine, Eric went ahead and implemented Cascading Style Sheets for the vast majority of the pages in the Archives.

- As part of a shift that has been a long time coming, Eric has finally begun to re-evaluate his life, and will try to focus much more on Pride and Greed, with a more efficacious application of Wrath. There will be a concommitant decrease in Envy and Gluttony, and a frighteningly strict crackdown on Sloth. Indulgences of Lust are expected to remain steady.
